Connecting Small Businesses to Resources and Opportunities

Small businesses are the backbone of Detroit’s economy, and it’s important that they have access to resources and opportunities to help them grow and thrive. In the coming weeks, there are two events taking place that will connect Detroit small businesses to these vital resources and opportunities.

First, on Monday, March 27 at 10 AM, Detroit Means Business is hosting DMB Live, featuring experts from the food industry, including Taste The Local Difference and MSU Product Center. They will be discussing how small business owners can continue building their businesses with available opportunities. This is a great opportunity for small business owners to learn from experts in the field and gain valuable insights on how to grow their businesses.

Second, on Monday, April 3 from 1-4 PM, District Business Liaison Bryan Davis is hosting a small business resource fair at Crowell Recreation Center (16630 Lahser). This event will bring together small business owners in District 1 to learn about and connect with small business resources in the city. Attendees can learn more about resources like Detroit Water and Sewerage Department, ProsperUs Detroit, Invest Detroit, Fair Food Network, Infinite Technologies LLC and more.

By connecting small businesses to resources and opportunities, we can help them continue to build and grow, which ultimately strengthens Detroit’s economy. We encourage all small business owners in District 1 to attend the small business resource fair and participate in DMB Live. Let’s work together to build a strong and vibrant small business community in Detroit.
